A RESTAURANT which has been offering a free meal to NHS workers throughout the last month is now extending its support to all frontline staff.

The Himalayan Spice in Liskeard has set up a schedule for Tuesdays in June and July when keyworkers can claim a free curry and rice.

Its ’Food for Heroes’ offer will run on the following days:

June 16 and 23 - care home staff.

June 30 and July 7 - supermarket workers.

July 14 and 21 - NHS staff and Liskeard Covid19 admin

July 28 and August 4 - Police, military personnel, bin men, taxi and bus drivers

Helping The Himalayan Spice team on Tuesdays are colleagues from Plymouth’s Cafe Indiya.

Himalayan Spice owner Suresh Khatri Chatri said: ’All you have to do is text us on 07713 281369 on the day you have been given with your collection time and menu choice and simply bring your ID with you when you collect.

’As the restaurant is currently closed we have a huge indoor waiting area to enable our customers to distance from one another, please use this area.

’We would advise customers not to travel if they are feeling unwell.’
