Throgmorton Cup quarter-final St Blazey 0 Saltash 2 (Wednesday) ASHES manager Kevin Hendy's response, when the draw for the Throgmorton Cup semi-finals was made after the final whistle at Blaise Park, said it all. 'Bodmin again,' he exclaimed, before quikcly adding: 'It's a shame as it would have been nice to have met them in the final.' He was, of course, referring to the fact that his side meet Bodmin at Lux Park next Tuesday in the semi- finals of the Cornwall Senior Cup, and this will be a dress rehearsal for the Throgmorton semis, which are scheduled for April 1 and 2. The other semi-final is an all-Devon affair, with Division One East side the University of Exeter facing Premier Division outfit Tavistock. This game was always well controlled by Saltash, with a delighted Hendy adding: 'It was a very deserved and comfortable victory as we dominated the game from start to finish. Once the nerves had settled and the early feisty-ness had subsided, then we took the game by the scruff of the neck and should have had it won by half-time.' The tie was won with two goals in a four-minute spell midway through the first half, with Glen Palmer looping a back-header over goalkeeper Tom Buckler, before Carl Pender released Gavin Coulton to shoot under the 'keeper.
