A SOUTH East Cornwall teenager has had thousands of views of a film showing his sponsored head-shave – which was inspired by a friend suffering from cancer.

Charlie Thomas, 15, from St Cleer goes to school at Devonport High School for Boys in Plymouth with Simon Gerry.

Charlie wanted to boost Simon’s fund-raising as Simon has recently been diagnosed with Ewing’s Sarcoma, a form of primary bone cancer.

Charlie’s live stream of his head-shave on Facebook has had 2,800 views.

The initial fund-raising target of £5,000 for the cancer charity CLIC Sargent was reached in three days, and the new target is now £10,000.
