Walks have been made on local coastal paths to mark World Mental Health Day.

Organised by Pentreath mental health charity in Cornwall, people walked coastal paths throughout the county, including one from Looe to Polperro.

The charity, who have supported people living with mental health and emotional difficulties since 1991, offer them help to believe in their own potential and achieve their vocational goals, whatever challenges they may face.

Following the walks everyone gathered in Perranporth where they had tea and cakes to celebrate their achievement.

Britain’s Got Talent semi-finalist Josh Curnow attended the gathering as a guest speaker and spoke about his experiences from school to the present day, explaining how one person in his life had told him he would never achieve a music career and how this had pushed him to prove her wrong. He has his first album coming out shortly.
