The NHS is urging 60- to 74-year-olds to get screened for bowel cancer with a home testing kit.
A bowel screening kit is automatically sent to all 60- to 74-year-olds every two years to pick up early signs of cancer that may otherwise go undetected.
Early diagnosis is the life-saving key to bowel cancer treatment.
However, last year less than two-thirds of the eligible population in Cornwall (60%) took up the offer and returned a sample.
