People on the Rame Peninsula have stepped forward to help their local doctors recruit the most research volunteers in the county.

The team at the Rame Group Practice, which runs the Penntorr health centre in Torpoint and surgeries in Cawsand and Millbrook, has recruited 141 people to take part in health research studies.

And the achievement has been commended by the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR), which has recently enrolled the one millionth person onto a clinical study in England. The NIHR is the research arm of the NHS.
