The latest programmes of walks in the Tamar Valley, aimed at those who are looking to improve their health and meet new people, are available now to pick up from local outlets or to view online.
Three different weekly walks take place in the Tamar Valley area every Monday, Wednesday and Thursday morning. All are free.
Walk and Talk: Saltash meets every Monday morning. The summer programme includes walks around Trematon, Antony Passage and Cargreen, as well as Seaton Valley, St Germans and the Plym Valley.
Walk and Talk: Tamar Valley meets on Wednesday mornings, exploring Tavistock railway and canal, Meavy and Burrator Dam and the Bere peninsula, Hingston Down and the Danescombe Valley.
Walking for Health, every Thursday morning, offers a series of easier walks varying from 30- to 90-minute strolls.
On each walk there will be two fully trained walk leaders, giving all the support and encouragement you’ll need if you’re just starting out, or getting back into shape after an illness or operation. Most walks begin at the Tamar Valley Centre, Drakewalls, near Gunnislake.
You can view all walking programmes at www.tamarvalley.org.uk
All are welcome to join the walks, and there’s no need to book.
