Jim McKenna, a Cornwall councillor, has been confirmed as the new Chairman at Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust.

He is currently a member of the Cornwall Council Cabinet and the Portfolio Holder for Adult Care - a role he will give up when he becomes Chairman at Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust on January 30 2017.

Jim is the Independent Member for Penzance Promenade and was formerly Chief Executive of Penwith District Council.
