Looe Community Memory Café members celebrated their group’s second birthday recently at St Martin’s Hall, Looe, with a visit from Talons Owl and Reptile Sanctuary, based near Pelynt.

Members were thrilled to handle rabbits, a rare breed of hedgehog, two small owls, a snake and a monitor lizard.

The Memory Café has a varied theme each month, with a speaker or entertainer, activities and reminiscences, and ends with a good afternoon tea and a sing-song with musicians Phil and Maggie.

The group meets on the second Friday of each month at 2pm.

All elderly people are welcome, with or without memory loss. Transport can be arranged if necessary and the hall has full disabled access.
