People in the Cornwall Gateway Community Network of Saltash, Torpoint and surrounding communities are being given the opportunity to find out more about controversial proposals to change health and care services at a public meeting on Thursday, January 12.

To be held in the town council chamber at Saltash Guildhall from 7.30pm to 9.30pm, the meeting will be attended by representatives from health and social care organisations.

They will be briefing the network panel on the draft Sustainability and Transformation Plan – a five-year plan aiming to improve services.

There will be an opportunity to discuss the draft plans, share views and help shape the proposals. Cornwall Councillor Bob Austin (Saltash), chair of Cornwall Gateway Network Panel, said: ‘The future of health and care in Cornwall is something we all need to consider very carefully.

’This meeting will give local people a chance to learn more about the proposals and comment on them. I would urge everyone to join us for this session or to go online to have your say about the plans for health and care.’
