Hearing aid wearers are being urged by Cornwall Council trading standards officers to check the make and model of their device after a recall was issued on versions of the ZeniPower brand following concerns that the battery may expand and could explode on rare occasions.
The batteries may also have been used to operate toys, remote controls, games consoles, watches, car key fobs and other small electronic devices.
Manufactured by Zhuhai Zhi Li Battery Co Ltd, the affected products have a best before date of ’08-2018’ and ’09 2018’ on the outer blister packaging.
Information about recent product recalls can be found on the Council’s website at www.cornwall.gov.uk/productrecalls and on the Facebook page www.facebook.com/CornwallBusinessConsumerSupport
