A CAMPAIGN has been launched to get more people to have a free flu jab before the winter.

Concerns have been expressed that flu could be really bad in the UK in the coming months after a number of fatalities because of the virus in the recent Australian winter.

Public Health England and the NHS’s joint Stay Well This Winter campaign launched yesterday in the South West.

The flu vaccination is offered to those who are at increased risk from the effects of flu.

These include children aged two to eight, people aged 65 and over, pregnant women and those with long-term health conditions.
