LISKEARD Fire Station wants everyone to put the kettle on and have a ‘Brew with the Crew’ to support the vital work of firefighters in their communities.
The campaign which kicks off today on International Firefighters Day (Tuesday May 4) is simple: people are asked to get together with friends and family over video call, enjoy a cup of tea and a chat, and donate to the Firefighters Charity, which supports the mental, physical and social needs of all the UK’s serving and retired crew members.
Tea is an integral part of life for community fire stations, control rooms and headquarters all around the country, says the charity.
“To celebrate the role the humble cup of tea plays in supporting our nation’s firefighters, we’re bringing people together for a brew with those they care most about.”
