The last month has seen a number of East Cornwall Harriers members claim age category prizes in three popular road races – the Mounts Bay 10k, the Plymouth Hoe Ten-Mile and the Bideford Half-Marathon.
The Mounts Bay race saw 16 Harriers join the 460-strong field, with Revis Crowle sprinting to third female place overall and first female in the 45-49 category.
The women's prize haul did not stop there, though, with Mary Mullarkey showing a clean pair of heels to half of the field to win the female 60-64 group.
Sharon Daw and Diane Roy swooped in for second places in the female 40-44 and 45-49 categories respectively, while Mike Palmer salvaged some male pride by finishing third in the 60-64 category.
The race was also a big welcome back for Dave Clatworthy.
The Plymouth Hoe Ten-Mile event saw Sharon Daw and Diane Roy take age group prizes, with Daw winning the female 40-44 group and Roy coming second in the female 45-49 group.
A contingent of 15 Harriers were among the 1,000 runners taking on the Bideford Half-Marathon.
It was first time at this distance for Marie Gentle – and she excelled by finishing ahead of 420 others and well inside the testing two-hour mark.
The other half of the Gentle duo, Stephen, was blasting along to finish in the top 50.
Meanwhile, Sharon Daw added to her age group prize haul with third place in the female 40-44 group.
