WITH the battle for the Cornish Grand Prix heating up this month, two races were contested within the space of five days.

The first of these – the four-mile Turkey Trot in Redruth – is a surprisingly difficult course, through winding backroads and housing estates.

The shorter races have lower age requirements, so the Harriers were able to take 21 runners along, six of whom were under 20.
