THE National Trust has plenty to offer families looking for something to do this half-term.

The mill at Cotehele will be transformed to create a haunted Halloween. Youngsters can enjoy a scary children’s trail, have a go at baking spooky treats or get crafty at Cotehele Quay. There is a fright night in the house on October 27 when visitors can dress as witches, vampires or werewolfs to get in the spirit of the event.

And at Antony, near Torpoint there’s lots to keep the kids entertained with a Halloween themed October half term. Activities include a twilight ramble (October 22), portrait hunt and a pumpkin trail and witches’ den in the house (October 23 to 31). In between leaf throwing wars, conker fights, den building, welly walks and hot chocolate in the tea-room, there’s plenty to entertain.

Lanhydrock will be inviting families to head out on bikes through the woodlands where they can become detectives to find clues and solve a mystery.
