Hair today but gone tomorrow

Mother-of-two Sadie Mollard is set to lose a few locks on Saturday night - she is having her hair shaved to raise money for Dobwalls playgroup.

Sadie will be having her close shave at The Highwayman pub around 9.30pm, the honours falling to her usual hairdresser, Kelly. Keeping her company will be her husband, Shaun, who will also be having a short back and sides, although in his case his hair is already much shorter than Sadie's.

Sadie, of Treheath Road, is a 'new mum' at the Playgroup, which meets at the local Methodist chapel. She has just started taking her two and a half year old son, Zak, along on Tuesdays and Thur-sdays. In the future her eight-month-old daughter, Jade, will no doubt be joining him.

She is busy gathering sponsorship before Kelly's scissors get well and truly to work on Saturday night - and a raffle is planned to boost the money raised even further.
