BIRTHDAY celebrations can be a bit strange during a lockdown – and coming of age during the restrictions even more so.
But one Saltash man decided to turn a negative into a positive.
Ryan Bailey asked his friends and family to donate the money they would have spent on him to the NHS, and had his head shaved into a mowhawk style as part of the fundraising.
He said: ’I think we can all agree the NHS are doing a massive job in our current situation on top of the great work they do day in and day out. Thank you to everyone in advance.’
Donations to Ryan’s mohican appeal exceeded the original target of £1000, reaching £1161 by the Easter weekend.
