Roads were gridlocked as hundreds of motorists tried to get home early in blizzard conditions on Tuesday.
Strong winds didn't help the poor driving conditions and many motorists were forced to abandon their vehicles overnight. The weather caused major disruption to some areas, with Liskeard and Callington among the towns worst affected.
An accident in St Ive caused chaos on the roads and it took drivers in some areas four hours to get home.
Some schools remained closed this week and others were only partially open as the icy conditions made some areas of South East Cornwall treacherous.
Cornwall Council has continued to grit roads and fill up grit bins, but it wasn't enough in some areas.
The weather has caused other problems – residents in Quethiock were without water on Sunday morning because of a burst water main and post deliveries to some homes were delayed.
