Golf - Whitsand Bay quartet achieve their greatest victory
Whitsand Bay Ladies achieved their greatest victory when they won the County Bronze shield. In doing so they showed all the small clubs in the county that they too could aim to win against the more famous clubs.
The Whitsand four were J Pinhey, N Jenkins, V Barnwell and P Westaway. They were selected from a field of only 15 ladies who could have played. The quartet were supported by fellow players as caddies.
