After a gap of five weeks, the seventh round of Looe Golf Club Winter League took place in ideal conditions. With all the festivities now long gone, Andy Toms and Norman Hill Male thought it timely to have their own festivities and fire work display - winning the event with a staggering 50 points - recording a near perfect 27 points on the back nine.
For a long time their nearest rivals Brian Shiel and Mike Mountford thought they were riding on the crest of a wave, recording an excellent 46 points only to find themselves four points adrift. Just two points behind were Keith Warren (who is making a name for himself in better ball competitions) and last week's 'revitalised' Digger Ebdon together with Paul Newman and Mike Mann who is rapidly becoming the 'Mann' to be watched as he is making a move in the overall placings for the Winter League.
