The proceeds of Whitsand Bay Veterans Section - Charity Days, 1999 are in aid of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution. The first, held on a very windy Friday October 1st. saw a stableford competition contested with teams of four, three men and one lady.

Prize winners were: 1 - A Foster, C Hancock, L Wilton and D Rawlings (77 pts); 2 - A Sykes, D Foster, H Pryn and L Hancock (wild card) (75); 3 - M Dart, J Doyle, R Bennett and R Hughes (75); 4 - T Wells, M Harrop, R Jenkins and D Smart (75); 5 - P Moore, D Nicholson, K Pomeroy and B Polkinghome (71).

Looe Vets held the last game of captain Ray Petipher's year when Newquay visited Looe. The weather which was threatening to rain held off and a very enjoyable game was played with the home side winning seven and a half to a half.
