Looe Golf Club had a busy time last weekend with the Winter League played on Saturday followed by a field inexcess of 100 competitors for the re-arranged Turkey Trot.
Vice captain Wayne Voden and the improving Alan Winterson won the Winter League round with 45 points. Three pairs, John Nicholls, Bob Deacon, Jools Hignett, Tony Lynch, Andy Toms and Brian Turner tied for second spot on 44 points.

The Turkey trot, which had to be postponed because of bad weather before Christmas, was replayed and two pairs Paddy Sleep nd terry Pratt and Mike Morris and Mike McLoughlin each scored an excellent 47 points.
Paddy and Terry took first place by having abetter last nine holes. Third place went to Richard Keith and Dave Elliott with 46 points.

A mafia, two to count, was played on Monday by the Looe Vets with Dave Turner, Arthur Northfield and Jeff Buckland taking the honours with 83 pts. Second place went to Gerald Bassett, R Acanley and Harry Foster (81 pts), followed by Richard Fletcher, George Robson w/c Norman Taylor 80 pts.
