DAVID and Myra Jones celebrated their Golden wedding at their home in Saltash on Saturday, September 18. Mr and Mrs Jones met as young teenagers attending adjoining schools in Abersychan, Wales and were married at Pisgah Baptist Church, Talywain, Wales. The couple moved to Saltash in 1966, and have two daughters, Mrs Linda Miller, who also lives in Saltash, and Mrs Verna Osment, who lives in Weymouth in Dorset. They also have two granddaughters. David and Myra were joined on the day by many family members, as well as Mayor of Saltash, Sue Hooper and her consort, John Hooper. The family celebrated with a meal in the evening.
