George the St Bernard paid a special visit to St James Church, Torpoint, last week.

George and his sleigh turned up to surprise all the children who visited him.

There was also an array of decorated Christmas trees to look at, which many visitors enjoyed.

The tree displays were set up by various clubs and charities as part of an annual competition.

The judging of the trees will be undertaken by visitors to the display.

A spokesperson said: “Well done to all of the entries for making a wonderful sight in the church. Happy Christmas.”
