SCHOOLS across the area reported another successful year, after students received their GCSE results.
Many students were in the mood to celebrate after opening up their envelopes yesterday to find A and A* grades.
Callington Community College saw 100 per cent of grades between A-G, with the national average standing at 98 per cent.
Twins Anna Rowe and Sara Rowe both achieved the same results – two A*s and four As.
Torpoint Community College was delighted with all their pupils, especially Alice Knight, Abi Wetherill, Will Bennett, Alicia Keise and Dan Brown, who gained top grades across the board.
Around 80 per cent of their Year 11 students will be continuing with studies at the college.
Saltash.net was celebrating some of its best GCSE results this year, with 62 per cent of students receiving at least five A-C grades. Zoe Vincent was one pupil who achieved outstanding results with nine A* sand one A.
Liskeard School and Community College saw pupils receive impressive results throughout, with Madeleine Abbott, Ben Harris and Amy Longworth achieving 19 A* grades between them.
Headteacher Donna Bryant said: 'We are delighted with the results.'
Top achieving student at Looe Community School was Travis Brooks, who received the equivalent of 15.5 top GCSE grades.
The school also saw 48 students achieve eight or more A*-C grades and 21 students achieving ten or more A*- C grades.
