Gardens across Cornwall are opening their gates to the public to support Cornwall Hospice Care. Among the gardens in the east of the county which are taking part in the open garden scheme are: Ken Caro, Bicton, near Liskeard (May 15); Trebartha, North Hill (June 19); Restormel Manor, Lostwithiel (July 21); and Hidden Valley Gardens, Par (July 23). Ken Caro, a plantsman’s garden of around 10 acres, will be open from 2pm to 5pm on Sunday, May 15. Money raised by the scheme, which is in its fourth year, will support Mount Edgcumbe Hospice at St Austell and St Julia’s Hospice in Hayle.
