AFTER the success of last year’s Open Garden scheme, the Merlin MS Centre is once again looking for garden enthusiasts to open up their beautiful gardens take part in the second year of this event.

Community Fundraiser Ruth Beadle, said: ’The spring and summer months are a fantastic way to take a deep breath of fresh air and appreciate Cornish gardens. We are looking for established and private gardens to be included in the scheme to support our charity, enabling others to enjoy the many tranquil and beautiful gardens that surround Cornwall.

’There are many ways in which you could open your garden and help “make money grow on trees” by holding an afternoon tea, BBQ or even a mini fete with stalls and raffles.

’If you do not wish to open your garden for the public, then why not invite all your friends, family and acquaintances for a social gathering asking for donations. Gardens of any size can join in this scheme and make your garden the perfect setting for a fundraising event.’
