A team of friends has completed a gruelling seven-day challenge to run and hike all 296 miles of the Cornish coastal path – raising more than £10,600 for the RNLI. Blisters the size of golfballs, steep gradients and by the end sheer fatigue were no match for Dean Burchell, of Liskeard, and his team – Damian Wallwork (Saltash), Ian Martin (Liskeard), Mike Dingle (Looe), Gary Martin (Plymouth), Scott Brown (Liskeard), Jack Llewllyn (Yealmpton) and John Hooper (Mid Taphouse). The men were welcomed to the finish line at Mount Edgcumbe last Saturday to cheers from a crowd of family and friends, having set off from Marsland Mouth near Bude a week before.
