The seventh annual Cornwall wine fair to be organised by local shippers and wine merchants, Castang Wine Shippers of Looe, will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday, February 22 and 23.

The venue will be at St Mellion Golf and Country Club.

The wine fair is now well established as one of the major wine tastings in the south of England, with more than 230 wines, Champagnes and spirits available for tasting.

Many experts will be on hand to help with the tastings and selection of wines and there will also be displays from West Country food and craft producers.

Entrance to the wine fair is free of charge, but only with a ticket available from the organisers, Castang Wine Shippers. (Telephone 01503 220359.)

Head of the Castang family business David Hearnden says that this year's event will be the biggest yet, and will provide an ideal opportunity for hoteliers, restaurateurs and all wine lovers to select their favourite and many new wines.

'We provide detailed tasting booklets for all visitors and also offer discounts on all wines tasted at the event', he said. This year the event will also be supporting the Children's Hospice South West appeal.

There will be wines from almost every producing country in the world at the fair.
