The Eden Project is offering free entry to all on a day of positive environmental action.

It is staging a special event called ‘Make the Change’ on Friday September 20 to mark the start of global activity around the UN’s Climate Action Summit.

The home of the famous Biomes is opening its doors free of charge on the day, offering itself as a place to connect and collaborate on the escalating climate issues facing the planet. Visitors will be able to hear from organisations and campaigners who are taking positive environmental action.

Make the Change will feature live music, workshops, talks, film screenings and exhibits. Activities will be centred on Eden’s education building, the Core. Visitors can calculate their carbon footprint and learn how to lower it with drop-in sessions run by mobile app makers Giki. A team from Cool Food will offer advice on how to navigate low-carbon eating and drinking. There will be a screening of the influential film A Plastic Ocean and the producer Jo Ruxton will be on hand to answer any plastic-related questions.
