THE annual Easter Fun Day, run as a free event by the Liskeard Traders Association as a thank you to customers, is to be held on the Saturday of the Easter bank holiday weekend.

The April 7 event runs from 10am to 2pm with Easter eggs for everyone, the Wreckers Morris Dancers from 11am and Wishy Washy the Magician throughout the day. There will also be an Easter bonnet competition open to adults and children with a parade, judging, and prizes in Fore Street from 11.30am to noon. Those wishing to enter are asked to pop into Serendipity, the ladies' fashion shop in Bay Tree Hill. to register their entry.

Maureen Smith, of the traders association, said: 'The Liskeard shopkeepers welcome everyone along to their town centre to enjoy some free Easter fun while they shop.'
