Studio plan

for Penpol

A PLAN to build a property and studio/workshop at Penpol was due to be debated last night (Thursday) by Caradon councillors.

The proposal, by Mr R Guest, was recommended for refusal by council officers on the grounds of undesirable sporadic development, and the fact that it would 'adversely affect the amenity and landscape character of the Cornwall Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty'.

The land in question is within Middle Penpol, and presently part of a garden to an adjoining house, but has frontage to the road and an access gate. The full application is for a house incorporating a combined first floor living area/studio.

The matter was due to be debated by Caradon's planning control committee (west).
