Plan for houses
AT their planning meeting on October 17 Restormel councillors are to debate a scheme to erect two town houses on land adjoining Daglands Road, Fowey.
The plan, by Estuary View (Fowey) Ltd, comprises a semi-detached pair of houses of four storeys with garaging/storage and pedestrian access at ground floor. Restormel say eleven letters of objection have been received which mention dangerous access, increased traffic movements and congestion and loss of parking spaces.
Officers have recommended refusal, saying because of its design, appearance and prominent location the proposal is considered visually intrusive in the conservation area.
