Torpoint Athletic overcame the disappointment of losing their last two matches, by returning from North Cornwall with all three points. Torpoint moved the ball around well in difficult conditions, and soon took the lead through Derek Cox who ran on to a through ball to fire it past keeper Ben Pursell. Bude went further behind when Cox turned provider to set up leading scorer Matt Barton who made no mistake with a well-placed header. Bude suffered a setback when they lost midfield player Norman Foster through injury. The second half became a war of attrition as the conditions worsened, but Torpoint's defence, with Chris Todd in top form, held steady and with Barton battling away up front there was little chance of them relinquishing their hold on the game.
