The Lantoom Park side entertained East Cornwall Premier Sticker on a glorious summer afternoon. The visitors started at a furious pace catching the Duchy side on the back foot although they soon settled and created some good chances and should have taken the lead on a couple of occasions.

Sticker made the break-through when a crossed ball was partially cleared by Roberts in the home goal and an alert attacker volleyed home.

Dobwalls made half time changes and came out in a determined mood to try and get something from the game. After a move involving a number of players Dobwalls levelled when Michael Polatch drove a ball across the keeper and into the corner of the net.

They then hit a purple patch and could have scored more if it was not for the woodwork and an outstanding save by the visiting 'keeper. Sticker hit the post with five minutes to go and a draw looked likely.

A scramble in the goalmouth saw Polatch tap home to give Dobwalls the lead and a minute later Tom Webb sealed the result.

Skipper Martin Nicholls had a tremendous game at centre-half ably assisted by stalwart Andy Hill and Paul Gerry who carried on where he left off last season with another solid performance. Several others made significant contributions.
