LISKEARD Loves Food, an event to tantalise the tastebuds, is taking place in Liskeard on Saturday, August 17, organised by the Town Team.
There will be a variety of stalls, local food producers, live music, family entertainment and a pop-up bar.
The Bay Tree end of Fore Street and the Cattle Market will kick things off at 10am with live music and entertainment from midday.
Also from midday, Fore Street is set to come alive with a barbecue, bar and more live music being put on by Nomad events and Live Music Connections.
Adding to the atmosphere will be talented buskers from the local area performing across the town.
Visitors will be able to choose from the wide range of food and drink on offer while watching live entertainment from the main stage at the entrance to the calf pens at the market.
Everyone will receive a warm welcome from the brightly dressed Town Team 'Meeters and Greeters'.
Jenny Jones, chair of the events and markets working group, said: 'It's a day for everyone to join with us and celebrate our love of all things foodie. We want to show our visitors just what Liskeard has to offer, not only with the great food stalls and events around the town, but also in the wide range of interesting independent shops and eateries that add character to our streets.'
Jane Pascoe, owner of Seasons Bistro, said: 'We're keen to see more visitors coming to the town who, like us, love food. We want to show them just what a range of restaurants and cafes we have who all take special care to offer a selection of seasonal local produce. For this event we're collaborating with Continental Fruits to offer local strawberries and Cornish clotted cream teas to set the tastebuds tingling.'
Another key event for the diary is Liskeard Live on September 6 and 7, incorporating two evenings and a day packed with live music and entertainment. Cherry Ghost and Golden Fable are confirmed headliners.
