New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Cornwall’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Peppers Pasta & Pizzeria, at Peppers Pasta And Pizzeria, Fore Street, St Ives, Cornwall was handed a three-out-of-five rating after assessment on April 19.

And The Mex, at 3 Gabriel Street, St Ives, Cornwall was given a score of two on April 19.

It means that of Cornwall's 1,553 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 1,280 (82%) have ratings of five and just three have zero ratings.
