New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Cornwall’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Rock Pool Cafe, at The Parade, Mousehole, Penzance, Cornwall was handed a four-out-of-five rating after assessment on June 7.

And Tony's Tavern, at Tonys Tavern, Elysian Fields, Main Road, Ashton was also given a score of four on June 7.

It means that of Cornwall's 1,589 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 1,288 (81%) have ratings of five and just three have zero ratings.
