The Looe Food Festival has been cancelled this year. The festival was set to take place next month, said organiser Danny Gill, with traders and chefs booked to attend. But a fire at the start of this month at a marquee hire business used by the festival badly damaged the stock. Mr Gill said he had been unable to source an alternative marquee within the festival budget and so he had done the prudent thing and cancelled the event. ‘I’m very, very sad that it’s not taking place,’ he said.
