Stocks in food banks in South East Cornwall are said to be holding up as national charities report ‘dangerously low’ supplies caused by increased demand with the start of the summer holidays.
David Berry, of Liskeard and Looe Food Bank, said: ‘Local people are so wonderfully generous with their support that over seven and a half years we have always had enough. We have already seen a rise in families being referred to us, which happens every summer.’
