A one-off performance from Celtic rock band Mad Dog Mcrea on a pontoon floating in the middle of the River Tamar at Pentillie Castle, near St Mellion, was a success last weekend, said organisers.

Folk superstar Seth Lakeman made a surprise guest appearance.

The audience of some 950 people watched the spectacle from picnic blankets and deck chairs on the estate’s riverside fields.
