A north-westerly breeze welcomed a fleet of 25 dinghies to Looe Bay for last weekend's annual Round The Island Race.

A mass start, with the result worked out on handicap, provided everybody with one of the best afternoon's sailing for some weeks.

The winner of the trophy was the Enterprise of Francis Marshall, with Robert Libby (also in an Enterprise) second ahead of the Redwing of Colin Crabb in third spot.

Next big event on the club's calendar is the 75th Anniversary on Saturday, July 18. Hopefully many former members will join with current members to celebrate this important milestone in the club's history.
