A sunny afternoon on the unsheltered moors made this year's East Cornwall Harriers Five Tors race particularly gruelling for competitors.
The demanding race saw runners negotiating five different tors across Bodmin Moor, a difficult course even for the most experienced athletes.
First to finish was Andrew Vallance, from Okehampton, with Chris Gilbert, in his first race since last autumn, the leading East Cornwall Harrier.
