THE Torpoint Martial Arts Club had a five-fold black belt success at a recent assessment in Swindon. They were all graded on the same day and all succeeded in becoming 1st Degree Black Belts. Debbie Grant and her son Kaylind, Dave Pacey and son Lewis and Darren Finch, were proud wearers of their new belts at their training evening on Monday. They are the first holders in Torpoint and Debbie is the first woman in Cornwall to hold the black belt. It has taken them four years of training to reach this standard. Trainer Mark Bishop, a 3rd Degree Black Belt, was justly proud of them all.
