Delays waiting for a Torpoint Ferry should soon be reduced with the PLYM II out of dry dock and afloat.
But the vehicle deck still needs to be repainted and the ferry operator is aiming to get the ferry up and running by the beginning of next week (November 19). Once the ferry has returned to Torpoint it will take a few days of suitable weather conditions to get it back on the chains and prepared for service.
General Manager of Tamar Bridge and Torpoint Ferry, David List said: ‘This further delay is regretted but please be assured that everyone is working extremely hard to get the work completed and the ferry back to Torpoint and into service as quickly as possible.’
