A couple who farmed in the Liskeard area have celebrated their diamond wedding anniversary.

Brian and Barbara Hooper were married at St Martin’s Church in 1957.

The couple moved into Liskeard itself eight years ago.

Liskeard mayor Jane Pascoe and deputy mayor Christina Whitty visited Brian and Barbara to congratulate them on 60 years of marriage, and met the couple just as they were opening their card from the Queen.
