Can you resist anything but the temptation to see Lady Windermere’s Fan at Sterts?

Well, we are all in the gutter – but some of us are looking at the stars. And you can certainly look at the stars as you walk into the covered amphitheatre to hear immortal lines like these in a brand new reinvention of Oscar Wilde’s great comedy, first performed in 1892.

The biting satire is revived by Sterts Theatre Company, the in-house production team at the centre at Upton Cross, between Liskeard and Launceston.

Lady Windermere’s Fan has its premiere on Wednesday, July 20. It examines Victorian snobbery and double standards with wit that has striking relevance to today’s world. Future performances are on July 21 and 30; August 2, 22 and 23; and September 2, 3 and 6. There’s more information on www.sterts.co.uk , and the Box Office is on 01579 362382.
