A FAMOUS author is to open a town's book fair as part of a tour to release his new book. The Callington second hand and antiquarian book fair will take place at Callington Town Hall on Saturday, November 24, starting at 10am – and author EV Thompson will be there to open it. Famous for his books on the Retallick saga, which often feature in Cornwall, Ernest Thompson lived in Cornwall for nearly 35 years and was made a Bard of the Cornish Gorsedd. His appearance at the book fair will also mark the release of his new book, Brothers in War, which he will be signing copies of on the day.
