The parents of a terminally-ill girl may have to sell their house or take more than a £70,000 charge on it in order to have the necessary adaptations made for it to cater for their daughter's requirements. Ellie Libby, five, requires around-the-clock care. She has outgrown her Looe family home, being unable to sleep in her bedroom as she is too heavy to be carried up the stairs. The couple has been trying for two years to get an adaptation to their house to cater for Ellie, who is fed through a tube in her stomach. 'Ellie wasn't expected to live as long as she has, but she has and we have to have a suitable place for her to live,' said Nigel, who is a full-time carer to Ellie.
